No one can truly follow God without first understanding the seriousness of sin. Sin is not only the root of all pain and sorrow in the world—it is also the thief that robs us of the eternal life God offers through Jesus Christ.
Although Jesus came and died willingly for our sins, Satan continues to blind many from recognizing the true danger of sin. Instead of turning to God, many are consumed with chasing daily success, unaware that true peace will never come while sin rules the heart.
“Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” – Matthew 11:28
Sin separates us from God—the only source of lasting joy. As long as we try to live on our own terms, we miss out on the peace and eternal life God intended for us.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” – John 3:16
Jesus paid the price we could not pay. But unless the Holy Spirit helps us see the weight of sin, we remain blind. The Spirit opens our eyes, leads us to repentance, and shows us that God’s love was active long before we ever sought Him.
God has promised to one day bring an end to all sin and Satan’s rule—but that also means judgment for those who reject His love and choose darkness.
So friend, why delay? Why carry a burden that Christ has already offered to take? Don’t risk your life for temporary pleasures. Seek God. Call on Him. Ask Him to help you walk in truth and strength.
“Lord God, help me to understand the seriousness of sin. Open my eyes and heart through Your Holy Spirit. Lead me to repentance and help me walk with You. I cannot do this on my own, but I trust that with You, all things are possible. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
